Position Title: Website Developer

We're a small but ambitious company in Grand Junction, Colorado doing a wide variety of web design and development tasks for a wide variety of businesses. We are interested in expanding our team to better serve our growing customer base. The employee we are seeking must be based in or around Grand Junction or willing to relocate to the Grand Junction area. We need someone who has website development experience using PHP and MySQL. We're looking for someone who can work at least 25 and up to 40 hours per week.

If you qualify for this position your pay will depend on your experience, attitude, and skills and is negotiable. Pay will be hourly with an incentive tied to productivity.

Essential Skills:

Ability to learn quickly
Experience developing with PHP and MySQL
Experience with Database Management and Development
Basic knowledge of Javascript
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers
Good working knowledge of HTML (this means actual HTML, not just using a tool like Dreamweaver or GoLive)

Useful Skills:

Some SQL Server experience would be helpful but not essential
Some experience with server administration using a LAMP stack would also be helpful, also not essential
Any versioning software (we use WinCVS)
AJAX
MS Office or Open Office applications, particularly word processing and spreadsheet

Experience:

You must have at least 2 years of experience in some aspect of web design.

Finally, it's important to mention that character is more important to us than skills. We need someone with a good work ethic, who can get along with other people well, can show good initiative and good judgment.
